Preparation of wallpapering

Before you install your wallpaper, you will need to prepare your walls. Preparation is a key for installing wallpaper. Before you start of papering, there are several steps you should do. If this project is changing old wallpaper with the new one, then the first step is removing the old paper. After removal the old wallpaper, you need clean the wall with TSP solution. Wash the wall and make sure you have removing all dirt, grease and grime from the wall.

If you find any cracks in the wall, you need fill it with surfacing compound. And for the larger cracks and holes, you need fill it spackling paste. The wall covering product you purchase will have installation instructions. Read the instruction carefully and following the guidelines.
